The Angry Filmmaker goes off on the real state of Independent film.
I have a group of people who I have read my scripts for feedback. Most of them are not filmmakers or screenwriters.
The more you rehearse the better the Actors know their parts. Note that I said parts, not lines. The Actors have to be comfortable with their characters.
If you make a feature without ever having made a short film, you're an idiot!

Make sure that you have commitments from all of your locations in advance! And then have back ups.
Look at your scene, your shot list, and the location. How much time can you save by lighting the whole set all at once?

Anyone who inputs everything from the shoot either has tons of hard drive space, or doesn't know much about editing.
